I noticed that in my system I can recall a migrated dataset, yet when it is recalled, RACF prohibits any access.
Does this indicate that RACF requires some setting with the RECALL process? inorder to prohibit my ability to recall a dataset that I can not access. Or is this normal, due to operations being required to re-dasd ds that others can use?
we are using sms. |

The dataset wouldn't be opened until after it has been recalled, and it's only then that RACF would step in and say - sorry mate no access. |

I'm sure that at one place I worked, you were not even allowed to recall / recover datasets that you did not have access to, even with rename specified in a recover process.
There may be a RACF parameter in the HSM parms. I'll try and take a look tomorrow if I get time. |
