Hi,
I have to write a query to fetch data. But one of the input date values is in julian format - YYDDD. I have to convert into DB2 compatible form CCYY/MM/DD. Is there any function available in DB2 to do that.
Input value is in a host variable. Writing a logic to convert using cobol would take long time.
Please post your replies. Thank you.

I am not sure something like that exists. With my little knowledge I tried googling..but couldnot find any answers..
Will be interested to see if you cracked out something. Pls share if you do so.
Thanks,

With intrinsic functions, the convert could be done in one statement. |

I believe during installation whatever the date format is set that particular format can be retrived/used.
I think as william said intrinsic functions can be used for this...
