Please can any one suggest me how to convert the Julian date-YYDDD format to regular date format in DFSORT. The Julian date is in Decimal.

Ex:
Input :
09185

Output:
7/4/2009

check this post by Frank Yaeger.

This converts a Julian date into Gergorain format in both the formats: PD as well as CH. You can modify it as per your needs.

Or may be if you can post the DFSORT level you have(SYSOUT from your SORT job), someone here can suggest a more efficient way of doing it.
