I tested by using SHROPTIONS (3 3). when i use SHROPTIONS (3 3), the records are getting flushed from the buffers immediately after being written in CICS. But defining a cluster this way is prone to some ENQ problems as this will provide zero integrity. Since i havent handled ENQ /DEQ explicitly in my program, i think the best way is to leave the VSAM SHROPTIONS (2 3) where the system manages automatically.
Also per IBM standard, i think RLSACCESS should be set NO.
Setting it to YES has got some performance related issues eventhough it address the buffering issues to some extent. |

Bill is correct, solution is to CLOSE ESDS file and RE-OPEN |
