how to switch from view to edit mode in the same screen even

hi,

give EIDT command in the command line. it will take you to edit mode from VIEW mode.

Thanks Gowtham,

But my file is a huge one while doing the same what you said , it is substiutuing the Browse instead of EDIT.

Can you tell me if you have any answer for this..

Madhu,

Firstly why would someone open a dataset in VIEW moda, if want to EDIT the same.

Second thing 3.4 substituted BROWSE mode for the file having records in a Huge number. in this case try to EDIT the file with File-Aid, if still doesn't work, you'll need to run a Batch job to do so.
