i want to know,is there any scenario between declaring file-status code in ws as alphanumeric x(2) and comparing with numeric items

Hi Rahul,
I'll ans the ques posed in the title fo your post. I'm not sure I understand the post itself.
I would guess that they chose A/N because an A/N field is directly DISPLAYable and they can expand, if neccessary, beyond 99 to A0 thru ZZ.
I say "I would guess" because the developer of the system code makes that call. |
