Hi,
We have a Syncsort step which has been executing fine for quite sometime
without any problem. The significance here is both the SORTIN and SORTOUT are one and the same and declared with DISP=SHR.
SORTIN DD DSN=A.B.C,DISP=SHR
SORTOUT DD DSN=A.B.C,DISP=SHR
SYSIN DD *
OPTION COPY,STOPAFT=123456789
This is part of a restart logic procedure. recently we had a spike in volume of data (close to 14 million rows). And out restart procedure is not working as expected.
I'm trying to find out if using the same dataset as SORTIN and SORTOUT has some limitations and if that is a culprit..b'coz the buffer cannot handle this huge volume ?
Any help is appreciated |

Have you given SORTWK files? If given, the space provided is not enough. If not given, that will work only for small volume datasets. |
