Hi friends,
i write a jcl program to execute a file, But the file is avilable in the other mainframe system then how would you execute the file (or) dataset?
for example.
my client is having all the data's in his own mainframe system,
iam working with our companys mainframe, i have to execute a file in my clients mainframe system what i have to do?
if u know the IP address, and also the system no(like basic networking) its possile to access it? |

HI,
You need to first NDM that fiel from Client M/F to your M/F. execute the job and againg NDM teh O/P file to Client Mainframe.

Hi kumaresh,
I dnt think there is any direct option to access a file of different system from another system. The boring & impossible solution is probably the file transfer. May be I am wrong! If there is any other way, please let me know. |

as amitava said..u have to bring the file to u'r region to acccess it...if u could acess some one else file without his permisssion , what is the meaning of saying that mainframe is highly secured. |
