Hi ,
I am just dealing with MQ series these days,
I have a simple Question for you :
Pls explain the sequence of reading or writing the MQ and why we use MQ instead of the COMMONAREA ?
I am not good at MQ , May be you also can guide me if Possible. :-) |

hi Brian's_song,
The possible questions I think can be...............
1. what is a two phase commit process?
2. what is a syncpoint?
3.wht are the advantages with clusters?
4. what kind of errors do you encounter in MQ?
but i don't know whether these are the kinds of questions that ppl look for in a technical interview. Have u faced any interviews till now??? please reply back soon so that we can discuss things and help each other to be successful
bye.

Hi friend,
I am also a new guy towards the MQ. Below is my answer to Ur questions:
1. I don't know.
2. The Sync-point is a time when datebase is in the state of consistency. It corresponds to th end of a logical unit of work. for example, a commit will signal a successfull end of work and establish a SYNCPOINT.
3. I don't know.
4. The errors I meet in work :I try to read the MQ , but the MQ name is wrong, So It will returns 2033.
As the answer to My question: the Sequence of the Operation of MQ:
1. Connect MQ 2.OPEN MQ 3. GET INfo from MQ 4. Write MQ 5. Close MQ 6. Disconnect MQ. |

hey buddy,
Thank you sooooooo much for your information. i want to know on which platform r u working?? right now i am just working on windows. I found what two phase commit process means
Two phase commit process:
If a unit of work can be co-ordinated by the queue manager itself or externally by another transaction manager , it is called two phase commit process.
i have few doubts about clusters. did u work on clusters any time???
really feel very lucky to find u buddy.
bye.
