What is executable load module in COBOL

Can somebody explain what is executable load module in COBOL ?

As the name suggests, it's the load module which cannot be executed. For certain compile/link editors, there are options to generate the load module even in case of errors in linkage. These load modules are normally non-executable.

I do not have more information on the topic. Let's hope we get further information soon.
