It has nothing to with JCL. Copybooks are COBOL elements (just like macros in Assembler or Copycodes in NATURAL), and you can read more about it in the fine manual.

Copy book wil contain the record description/ layout, Purpose of copy book is If we use same record description/ layout in different programes instead of coding a copy book again , we can call the same copy book. |
