Hi Rupa,
PACBASE
Early advanced CASE software for mainframes and Unix systems from CGI Systems that supported a wide variety of databases, including DB2 and Oracle. PACBASE generated COBOL code for the servers, and Visual Age for PACBASE was used to create the client side. IBM purchased CGI in the early 1990s and absorbed the code-generating tools into its other offerings.

Hope this helps. |

Hi Rupa,
I really don't have any idea about the career perspective in PACBASE.
One solution is that, the person who have already worked in PACBASE must come forward and help you regarding this. |

Hi rupa,
As per my analysis it also works in a good track.. but it is not a thing that u will b in the same project forever.. u may b required to shift in future.. so don't worry.. if u really have an interest in working with ur skill and if they offer u to change to some project then u can else go with PACKBASE since it is also a prod of IBM .. u can do i think so.... but this is not a solution.. just an idea... as per iknow u can ask some exp people in that field.. better u ask ur seniors in ur office.. |
