Is there a way to compile a list of COBOL programs executed in batch each day?

What tools would you recommend to make this task easier?

SMF records give the program for each step of each batch job. There is no way, however, to know if a given program is COBOL or something else from the SMF data. Nor is there a way to know which subprograms were called by the main program.
