Hi all,

--------------------------------------
SORT HELP
--------------------------------------
I have a FB file which has fields in fixed positions
FIRST NAME
LAST NAME
BUILDING NUMBER
BUILDING NAME
STREET NAME
TOWN
DISTRICT
POSTCODE

Is it possible to get the count of occurrence of unique values for each field from the file using SORT?

I am able to manage one field at a time using SECTIONS and TRAILER3 - Count

Thanks

You need to re-sort the file separately by each of the column you are interested in.
Either as separate SORT steps, or do it in one step using ICETOOL.
