I am working in an IMS shop and I need to be able to intercept the fact that the user clicked PA02 (PA02 keystroke). I need to disable the automatic handling of IMS to PA02 and I need to be able to control its behavior programmatically.
I am sure there is a way to do it (control the attention keys) in MFS but I am not sure how. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Did you REALLY want to ask the same question for PF2?
PA2 is generally used to retrieve the next physical page in an IMS terminal session using MFS.
Why you would want to prevent PA2 from working as designed is a good question.
What is your goal?
If you are designing a brand new IMS application that will service SLU2 or 3270 devices,
(how likely is that?) then you might want to investigate using Bypass MFS mode by reading the IMS
IMS Administration Guide: Transaction Manager that is applicable to your current installed IMS version.
I cannot think of a good reason to do this, but I can think of many good reasons NOT to do this.
