can we copy the data from PS dataset to memeber of PDS? this task should be performed by using IEBUPDTE utility.

gvt460, I'm not sure what you want here. In the first part of your post, you ask a question. Then, in the second part, you answer your own question.

Why would you HAVE to use UPDTE? GENER or SORT is probably faster (and the more common approach).
