In mainframe, we have a jcl which is loading the data into DB2 table in first step and then in the next step we are repairing the table space and index space.
Now this job will be migrated in Unix environment where we have replaced the load step with a cobol program which will insert the data into DB2 table residing in Mainframe via DB2 Connect utility.
My query is: Now that we are loading the table through a program, do we need repair table space/index space step in UNIX. And if we need, how to issue the REPAIR command from unix via DB2 Connect.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks. |

I am not sure why you needed daily Repair?
You will have to connect with your site DBA to see if REPAIR is essential on UNIX Box. |
