Hi,
I have CA scheduler history file. I need to create below report from this file using JCL.
MORNING REPORT MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS
SCHEDULE-NAME JOB-NAME START-TIME END-TIME
S1 J1 HH:MM:SS HH:MM:SS
S2 J2 HH:MM:SS HH:MM:SS
S3 J3 HH:MM:SS HH:MM:SS
Can someone please advise me ICETOOL cards for this sample report? Thank You. |

Your post is about as helpful as a chocolate tea pot.
Have you shown the input, or the output.
What are the criteria for selecting records to be used to create the report.
RECFM, LRECL are also useful facts to have, both input and output.
Unfortunately, until you are able to give a concise post of input, output and logic involved, there isn't a lot we can do to help you. |

In that case, your need will go unmet. JCL schedules resources for the system -- it does NOT do any reporting or program functions on its own. Terminology is critical in IT, where similar terms may mean very different things, and about the only things JCL can do are allocate data sets, delete data sets, and execute programs. If you had said you needed to do this with DFSORT, which is not JCL, that would have been acceptable terminology.
Have you checked the CA SCHEDULER manuals to see if what you want is already available? If you find a report that is close, you can extract the desired data from it using DFSORT and generate your own report. Or you could see if CA-EARL supports CA SCHEDULER. |

Continuing the mis-posting theme - there is a section of the forum title "DFSORT/ICETOOL". As you posted in the JCL part of the forum I assume you think that the DFSort part of the forum is for something else - what exatly? |

Look for DFSORT manuals where reporting feature is present, if you don't find it then tell us here we will provide you one. If you are looking for readymade sort cards then follow Expat's instructions. |
