At the SMF manual, there is the following description of field "R723CRCP" in record type "72":
Quote: |
"Count of transaction completions for this period. This field includes transaction completions reported by subsystem work managers via the IWMRPT service." |
If the record refers to a service class that only have batch jobs, what is the meaning of "transaction completions"? I suspect it is Jobs, would I be correct? Or would it be Steps or anything else?
Thx, Ricardo |

Hello,
I think it is jobs. Each job is accounted as a transaction in 72.
You could try to validate this transaction count from type 72 with the number of jobs from type 30 subtype 5(job or task termination) for that particular service class.
I personally have not tried it, If you are able to get a solution, please let us know.

Hello Vazanthz and Peter!
Vazanthz, I understood that you was not sarcastic, do not worry about that, and thanks for moving the thread to the correct forum.
Peter, thanks for the info. In your second reference there is not a direct affirmation that R723CRCP could mean jobs ended, but we came to that conclusion after quickly analyzing the formulas presented there.
Rgrds, Ricardo |
