Hi All,
I tried searchig this here and in other forums as well but couldnt find much .. Manual says lot of functions but cant relate them with my requirement ...
below is the Ver statement Code from my panel defintion:
Code: |
VER (&Z23,NB,LIST,Y,N)
VER (&DELAY1,NB,INCLUDE,ALPHAB,NUM)
VER (&delay2,NB,INCLUDE,ALPHAB,NUM)
VER (&delay3,NB,INCLUDE,ALPHAB,NUM)
VER (&delay4,NB,INCLUDE,ALPHAB,NUM) |
I have to allow user to enter alphanumeric and special chars as well but panel is not allowing with this definition . . I tried with ENUM instead of NUM but that is giving me an error
Can some one pplease help me .. which option I can use for special chars .. I am not sure about this ..Thanks |

I didnt get you correctly
If you needed Alphabets, numbers and special chars to be allowed then why check it? |

As Pandora has said, why do any verification in the panel.
I usually use the VER and IF statements for only rudimentary checking.
The best place for verification of data entry is in the control program that displays the panels. Far more flexible than ISPF allows. |

Or you could use a Rexx verification within the panel. |
