Adding more partitions to a tablespace

Hi,

We are using v10, Suppose we have a table based partitioning with 10 parts, Is it possible to add 11th part by simple ALTER table/tablespace statement? Or the only way is drop and recreate the TS?

I went through the manuals, but did not got a clear understanding.

Better to Back up the data, drop and recreate TS and load back the data

Look for 'ADD PARTITION'

I verified this by running the alter table add partition command. we can add more partitions
