Hi,
Does DFSORT support UNICODE data (UTF 16 , UTF 8 ETC.)? Could you suggest what changes we have to make to implement it?
Awaiting response. Thanks. |

There's a link to the manuals in this forum, and at the top of each page. |

DFSORT does not have any built-in functions for supporting unicode data. As Anuj pointed out, can you use LOCALE? What kind of operations are you planning to do with unicode? |

Hi Skolusu,
Thanks for the reply. I couldn;t understand how to use Locale. I have a file o/p from a cobol program which consists of UTF-8 data.
The file needs to be sorted on a field which is in UTF-8 format so how can I achieve this for example will CH work for unicode data existing in russian and chinese languages. |
