I doubt if you would get a response for this question ever.

DB2 is a database and mapset is a group of maps which are linkedited together.

Do not understand what you mean by reading a db2 table using mapset.

You take data from a DB2 table, format it and populate the various fields in a map.

Hi,

In an online program if there is a " EXEC SQL" command comes,
Control will be given to DB2....so the read/write query will work accordingly...

For Eg.,
you will receive a map with a field populated with Customer Number..
Now with Customer as Key filed u will read the database to get the entire details of the customer...

Regards,
Nithya
