Please answer the following questions.
1) What are the Max, Min and Min Editable Length of VSAM Record?
2) Can we directly use VSAM dataset or we have to follow any initialization process?

Hi keerthi

i couldn't get what u mean exactly by your question

But a vsam file can be of 4 k ( theoritacally it can be up to 32k)
the CONTROLINTERVALSIZE(size) of define cluster gives the size of CI
and RECORDSIZE(average maximum) gives whether the file is variable or fixed
if it is fixed avarage, max will be same,
for variable length they differ
