Hi,
I'm new to CA7, please educate me to learn more.
I have a scenario where JOB M (SCHID=010) has successor jobs A,B,C and D which is scheduled to run every day at 3PM
In a similar way I have JOB N (SCHID=020) has successor jobs A,B,C, and D which is scheduled to run every day at 4pm.
Now both the schedules JOB(M) and JOB(N) has scanned to Queue.
Now I want to place HOLD only for JOB D of schedule JOB(N). How I can do this.
I tried using 'JOB' option which is available, but in that there is no option to specify the schedule ID. So how to place hold in this circumstance. |

This is very well explained in CA7 Manuals. Please start from there.
To get you going - AFAIK, there are two ways to put a hold on the Job in CA-7. One is through the "JOB" command, as you said and the other is through the "JOBCONN" command. Usually, it is preferred to put a hold through the "JOBCONN" command as this helps to add some information on why the job is put on hold and who should be contacted before releasing the hold. |
