Hi,
When I use FTP to download from mainframe to workstation (Windows), one character '|' = HEX'4F' gets replaced to '³'. The options for FTP: ASCII CRLF

I need somehow to translate '|' -> '|' not '|' -> '³', how it is currently doing.

Can I replace one char in the translation table? Or can I change the options for FTP ?
(It is just one character translated 'wrong', the rest is fine).

Tnank you in advance,
I.

A translate table has 256 characters -- X'00 through X'FF' and if you set up your own translate table, you could change the one byte you want to, but leave the other 255 as default values. You cannot change just one character to another using an FTP translate table, though -- either you deal with all 256 bytes or none of them.

Have you checked the code page to see if changing that would help?

Thanks so much, everyone!
Will do.
( As a side note, I realized it is because I loaded the 128 char 'extention' with foreigh language chars, it 'screw' me up with FTP. icon_biggrin.gif )
