Hi All,

Kindly need your help in resolving the below erro message:

IEC020I 001-1,JOBNAME,STEP0010,BACKUP,5132,LCB013,
IEC020I DATASET.NAME
IEC020I NO ERROR HANDLING, (SYNAD), EXIT SPECIFIED

found some info. on IEC020I 001-1 code 1, but that doesnt help too:

If the return code is 1, an I/O error occurred during BDAM, BSAM, BISAM,
QSAM, QISAM, or BPAM and no SYNAD exit was specified by the user. For BSAM,
one of the following conditions might be true:
RECFM=U was specified on the DCB macro instruction, but no logical record
length was specified.
A write was attempted to a data set that was opened for input.
A read was attempted to a data set that was opened for output.
For concatenated data sets, some data set in the concatenation has
attributes that are different than the attributes of the first data set in
the concatenation. For example, some data set may have a different blocksize
than the first data set.

dataset have the same blocksize and RECFM.

what else could cause the above mentioned error?

also at the bottom on the output i get the following erros:

ADR415W (001)-DTDSC(04), NO DATA SETS WERE COPIED, DUMPED, OR RESTORED FROM ANY VOLUME

ADR324E (001)-DTDSC(01), THE VOLUME/DATA SET SPECIFIED BY DDNAME BACKUP HAS BECOME UNUSABLE

Your assistance will highly be appreciated in the instance.

Regards,

Kopano Phale

to receive assistance we need an exact description of what you were trying to do.
provide us with the JCL and control cards for the step.

we can guess based on some of the info,
but IT is not a guessing game.

please stop wasting time quoting from the manuals,
without at least attempting to follow the suggested solutions.

you glossed over the read output or write input part.
knowing what you coded,
will help us in diagnosing what you did.

It would help if you showed the JCL and control statements.

Kopano - I've removed the e-mail ID from your post. Please do not post personal e-mail IDs in the threads, they attract spams/spammers.

As has been indicated, you've not given us enough information to help you. All the messages you post are mostly "informational" messages and ADR324E seems to be the result of what happened. So yes, please post the Job and control stqtements along with the complete diagnostic information.
