I allocated a IAM file with LOG(UNDO) and loaded the file with data. In the next step when I try to copy the IAM file to a PS using SORTCOPY i am getting the error 'SORTIN VSAM OPEN ERROR -- BC '. I then removed the LOG(UNDO) option and the job ran fine. Could someone please explain me the purpose of LOG(UNDO). |

why not look at the manuals Yourself, or ask the person who provided You with the jcl snippet to use? |

murugavel28, you need to become aware that IAM is a product from a software vendor -- it is NOT SMS nor is it VSAM. Hence, you need to either reference the manual or contact the vendor for assistance. Someone on this forum could answer your question only if their site happens to be using the same software. While this is possible, the odds of your getting an answer to your question would be much higher talking to the vendor or reading the manual (if your site is licensed for the software, you have access to the manuals -- either online or because they've been sent to your site). |
