Hi,
While scheduling a job if we create a dependency of the job on arrival of a file, how would the system know whether the file has arrived or not?
Please excuse me if it sounds to be a generic question, but its kind of urgent.
Thanks

Didn't really understand what you want.
But any scheduler has have facility to trigger job on creation of dataset on the system. |

Its all in the TWS manuals.
But because its an urgent matter, you get a generic answer : the system uses exits. |

What is the way you are using to receive the file into mainframe.
Check with your support team and they can setup a process to trigger any
particular JCL on different modes of file arrival (XCOM, FTP).
In case you are transferring file within mainframe you can send a trigger job on successful creation of file.
Hope it helps.
