Query abt trainning on IBM mainframes

HI,

I am a fresher - 2005 B.E [I.T]. I have come across the advertisement of Global Education Tree (GET). They say they provide training on IBM mainframe and AS\400. I wanna know:

a) wheather taking training from such trainng education is useful?

b) Are there proper certification for these courses (like sun certification)?

c) Are there any prerequisites for doing a course on IBM mainframe or AS\400?

d) What's the future like after doing this course? is it ok if if this institute is not very good n still i go ahead?

pls help me ASAP.

For freshers Mainframe training outside any university in US also not useful, and in INDIA, there are no openigs for freshers in mainframes so, paying thousands for training is a waste of time, but if learing technologies is your aim then go ahead but for job purpose it's a BIG FLOP, to say fairly,.
BUT not worthless.

Since you are a fresher, taking a training on whole new concept for you is a vast change. If u want to take it seriously get trained and also get professional certification from IBM, then you can surely hit for a job.
