What do you want to use this flat file for, backup or reference. |

Hi,
I just need the member names to be copied to the flat file. IEBPTPCH is copying the member names along with the contents in it. I guess a small change in sysin parameter will do the job. Please let me know if anyother utility is available.
This can be done in REXX. But I am keeping it as a final option. |

If you cannot explain in a simple English declarative sentence what it is you are wanting to do, how do you expect us to read your mind and figure out what you really want? |

By reading the PDS directory as if it were DCB=(DSORG=PS,RECFM=FB,LRECL=256); I have a Rexx script that does just that (I got a lot of the code from Doug Nadel). I beg leave to doubt if that is within the TS's abilities, however.
(He may be miscalling ISPF services invoked via the ADDRESS statement "Rexx". I question if that is within his abilities either, though.) |

But of course there are several examples of getting all of the PDS member names using either REXX or LM services on this very forum.
Maybe the SEARCH button has gone wonky again |
