Hello folks,
I need help... already looked everywhere but couldn't find any information on this.
We are having an abend which says:
GDG ROLL IN ERROR - RETURN CODE 246 REASON CODE 0 MODULE IC0CLA9
What could be a possible reason for that abend?

There's not an associated message id? Something like IGD07001I or IDC3009I? |

Hi,
can you show what you are trying to do and all the output messages might
also assist.

I'll hazard a guess, that the associated message ID is - IGD07001I, which meass, the roll in fails. The GDS is retained and may be referred to by its absolute generation name. In other words, it looks like you failed to scratch the oldest generation so that you could roll the new generation into the GDG. Check the oldest generation and verify that the volume where it resides is online. |
