Hello everybody,

I have one question:

I decided to put some job that must run every day at a specific hour, inside the opc (tws) of the system.

After few try because the job was requesting the User Parameter, I added my UserID and Password for run, now my question is that one:

Those jobs must run on the system automatically every day at 17, I would like to "not use" the User= parameter or to specify the System as "run user"

Is there a way for fix it??? Or I must always specify an userid and password?

Im totally lost here. Where did you have to enter userid/password, in TWS?
You really have to explain your problem better. Maybe you show how you defined your job in TWS or some jcl.

So here is the header of the job:

//TPINIT1 JOB (IY990),'INIT VOLUME',
// MSGLEVEL=(1,1),CLASS=A,
// MSGCLASS=A,REGION=0M,USER=XXXXXXX,PASSWORD=XXXXXXXX

If i will not add the USER and PASSWORD parameters the job will not run

Because this must be an automatic job that must run every day at 17, there cannot be "user" and "password" statement but, as far as i know, some "system user"

And yes, those jobs are defined in application under opc

Why not, is it canceled by RACF or a JES exit?
Or is it canceled by a TWS exit?
How are other jobs defined in TWS?

Maybe you could solve it by using job tailoring, read

Ok problem solved, the UID was not defined in the RACF, now is going to be defined icon_smile.gif
by the way, the error was that the job was cancelled by RACF and/or JES exit

Yet another case where the lack of actual system output hindered our helping resolve the problem. If you had posted the ICH408 message, we would have known immediately how to resolve the issue. Instead, everyone wasted time since you "knew" it was a TWS issue.
