Plz anyone explain me what is sql code -501????I was asked this question in an interview.....

Hi Kumar,

U can check this error code in any book..
anyway this is explained below.
-501 THE CURSOR IDENTIFIED IN A FETCH OR CLOSE STATEMENT IS NOT OPEN


Iam trying to fetch or close the cursor which is not open.

hi,

i would like to add some more information to the above answer.
All the sqlcodes like -501,-502,-503,-504 are related to cursors only.
so make note of these..
