Retain First Record without sorting in sorted O/P File.

Hi,

I have scenario where first record contains date record which has to be retained in output file without sorting. I tried with STARTAFT but it is not going to work. Please give me sort card to satisfy above criteria.

Please show us some sample records and the expected output from that. Also tell us the RECFM and LRECL of the input/output.

Looks like you want to sort records between header/trailer, however, I can't say this for sure unless you show us some sample records and the expected output from that, as I've asked for.

Apart from what Anuj has already asked, you may post your sort product name and version info which might help to decide which solution will work for your product.
