Hi,
I need a jcl for copying the FB PDS member to the VB PDS.
I could find JCLS for copying FB to VB PS datasets but I need to know how we can do the same in case of PDS.
Thanks in advance. |

Member by member perhaps.
But why would you want to do this ? |

This is as per the requirement. Our Production dataset is a VB PDS having LRECL as 255.
but our vendor is providing us information in a FB PDS having LRECL 80.
I thought about converting each member in the FB PDS to VB PS and then transferring the same to the VB PDS.
But would like to know if there is an easier way out. |

Hello,
It will reduce problems dealing with the vendor if there is a separate pds for the vendor provided content following the vendor provided specifications. . . |

Obviously, on a per-member basis, this could be done with SORT. But honestly, it really doesn't take much time or effort to write a small ISPF Library Management program to invoke the LMCOPY service to copy any number of members. |
