Hi,
My client is looking to change the terminal emulator from ‘IBM personnel communications’ to ‘Vista TN3270’. But before taking license they wanted to know the performance of Vista emulator. Their question is ‘is there anything we can do with IBM PCOMM, and we can’t with Vista’. Please if you have any idea let me know.

Vista tn3270 is a Windows program designed to emulate IBM 3270 terminals connected to a host via IP link. Currently it is available for a free 30 day trial, and costs only $30. - just why not try that.

Hello,
Suggest you make a list of "must haves" based on what features are currently used.
Then research if these are available with Vista. . . If Vista wants to make the sale to a group of users, they will help with the research of how their product meets the needs.
As Anuj suggests, it would surely be a good thing to get the free trial and do some testing . . . |

Based on your suggestion I requested the trial version. It has been installed now. We are testing functionalities. I will let you know the testing comments.

Hi,
We have verified some important functionalities related out application, we did not find any difference in both emulators.
But in basic functionalities Vista has some good features like
We can scroll the program using scroll of mouse, can search the string on the screen using control + F option, Multiple file transfer ability such as a download of multiple PDS members, Vista has Multiple Cut/Paste buffers (up to 9) …
We are shared the same to client today.
