Whn DFHSM is tryin to write on the tape (virtuals) ,Tape MGMT (CA1) is rejecting it ...TO my surprise when I am tryin to write on tape ,its allowing ..Tape mgmt is rejecting only when HSm is asking for tape ..

Following error Is coming in DFHSM log

IEC518I SOFTWARE ERRSTAT: REJTMS 0A4E,610063,SL,DFHSM,DFHSM

So what happens when you followed the suggestions in the advice:
Quote:
Application Programmer Response: Report software error category to library subsystem administrator.

System Programmer Response: Validate error category as expected and determine if error category describes a media problem or library subsystem error. System command D SMS,VOLUME(volser) will provide additional volume status. Resetting the scratch error status reactivates the volume's scratch pool status. Changing the volume use attribute from scratch to scratch will reset the scratch error status.

Check UNIT name settings in DFHSM parmlib are valid for the new virtual units perhaps, and possibly the EXITON/EXITOFF parameters to ensure the CA1 interface exit is active?
