Service class of a job.

Hi,

How to specify the service class of a job eg., batchhot,batchprd,batchmed,batchhigh etc.

When i submit a job i need it to be in some service class. I donno how to specify it instead i go to spool and change them after submittion.

Please let me know whether can we specify the service class of a job and if so then please explain.

Services classes are set up by your site's support group and depend upon such things as resources used, job name, job class, time of day job is submitted, and so forth. You must contact your site support group to get an answer to your question.

You might want to verify as well that it is okay for you to change the service class -- if you are doing this, you are changing the overall system performance and that could have negative implications.
