Hi all,
I have one issue with VSAM file which is of 49791 lenth. It is giving me S0c7 in one of the field. File is ESDS. I have identified the records which is coming in error but now able to EDIT the file through fileaid as it is saying cannot edit file having LRECL > 32k. Please help me with this.

looks like You will have write a program
AFAIK most utilities have a 32k record length limitation |

enrico . We cannot write a program as its a production issue with Prty 2 . Our batch jobs are in queue due to this. Is there any other way.

then You have a problem 
by the time You will have searched in Your organization for all the file utilities available
and the corresponding record length limitations
the prty might have become 1
and You' d still be left with a program to write |

Every system i have ever supported has an "Emergency Repair" . . .
This may be formal or may be hand-walked thru, but if a bit of brand-new code is needed in order for producton to continue, it is implemented. . . |
