Hi All,
Could you please advice is there any free mainframe machine which we can use for learning purpose. For eg:- I want to try some PL/1 and JCLs.
I know there are simulators like 3270 available. But is there any free host machine to which we can connect using these terminal emulators and do our test codes.
Thanks in advance. |

Hello and welcome to the forum,
Several people are using Heercules. Look here:
www.hercules-390.org/
This lets you run a mainframe on your pc. It will not be only a few minute task to get running - even if one is familiar with mvs. It is however free.
There is also a help forum at Hercules. Follow the "support" link. |
