Hi All,
I have requirement to find the list of year-to-data files where i did to check if particular tape file is valuted or not.
How can we find if a particular tape files is vaulted?? |

I look at the TMS Report to see if the tape is checked out to the vault. But that would not be the same at your site, local standards would apply! |

I tried looking for the tape info using Tape management facility in CA-7 but was not able get any info.
is there any way to get the info from CA-7 Tape Management facility?? |

Consult with operations people or tape mgt librarian. They should be able to guide you. |

Errrrrrrrrrm, CA7 is a scheduling package. Methinks perhaps you mean CA1.
Talk to your storage people, they usually have the required reportd just sitting there raring to go. |

Hello,
If your tape management system is CA-1, yes - you can see the status/location a particular tape volser.
As has been suggested, talk with your tape storage management people. |
