Hello All,
I have a job which unloads a table from production region monthly once
But in one month it will run fast and in another month it will run very slow
The elapsed time for this job varies in hours from one month to another
Please give the list of factors that affect the performance of this job while unloading the table
Thank you
Regards

It would be best if you spoke to your capacity & performance management team at your site.
They, and only they, will have all of the information of exactly what else was happening at the times of the job processes which may affect the timings of each run. |

these sort of discussions are carried on in journals, papers, etc...
if there is a specific factor of which you have observed,
and you have questions about that specific factor,
I am sure someone here can help.
but none of us want to summarize for you
an article,
discussion,
tech manual definition
or
anything else. |

Hello,
As this all happens on your system, all the general answers are there. . . If you have a specific observation, possibly someone here can offer a suggestion as DBZ mentions.
You need to isolate what is different between a "good" run and a "bad" run.
This may be caused by the query(ies) of the unload, the state of the data, or the competition for resources at that time.
You should consider working with your performance people as Expat suggested and also your database support. |
