Hi,
I am trying to find the difference between sort, DFSORT and Syncsort.
As per my understanding DFSORT is the sort which we can done with ICETOOL. Correct me if i am wrong.
SORT and DFSORT is the product of IBM, where as syncsort is not the product of IBM |

While the statement is true, i believe your understanding is incorrect.
Suggest you talk with your seniors or technical support people to learn exactly what is available on your system and what should be the PGM= for each execution. Most systems have a "SORT" and an "ICETOOL" but these may not be the modules from IBM. . . |

PGM=SORT invokes the sort product installed at your site which could be DFSORT, Syncsort or CA-Sort.
PGM=ICETOOL invokes DFSORT's ICETOOL if you have DFSORT, or Syncsort's SYNCTOOL if you have Syncsort. ICETOOL is a fully documented part of DFSORT which has been shipped free with DFSORT since 1991.
