My apologies if this is not the proper section to ask but I could not guess where else to post this question.
I am trying to determine a way to create (from a program) an input file that I will make to Insync somehow and make it extract one or several root keys off an IMS Database. I wasted time using the SSA control statement thinking it would work but gave up.
I have now located something called KEYFILE which appears to be a DDNAME but the documentation is poor and it does not go into enough detail to even determine if this is the way to go.
Has anyone used KEYFIELD or maybe it is #KEYFIELD? Not sure. How does it work? What should be the layout? Does nayone have a link to documentation about KEYFILE? etc
I could make a program build the file if I know the layout. I would then execute an Insync Step that reads the file to extract the roots and their children. This is a repetitive task that I need to do often.
TIA,
Luis |

It is a Macro4 Software Product, part of a suite that the company offers. Competes with Compuware Products. Insync is similar to FileAid. |

Did you contact Macro4?
Did you google "macro4 insync manual"?
What are you looking for, "I am trying to determine a way to create", what does your manual indicate?
As a liciensed user, you have better access to the manuals that hold the answers to your questions than I do, have you checked then? |
