FTP command to trigger job in scheduler

I am using FTP utility to transfer file to another system...I want a job to be triggered once the system receives the file..Can anyone tell me the FTP command to trigger the job in scheduler

Anusha, you had another similar topic last week:

Again, FTP is not a langauge so there is no command to do this sort of thing. Your Enterprise Scheduling software should handle this event easily. I would think it would be a simple dependency.

Hy,
if you want to start a job thru jes2, then
use the SITE command, i.e. site=jes2
ans send a file, which is a executable job.

how to handle these jobs, the parameters are defined in
FTP profile. thus if not working contact your ftp admin.

Thanks Martin..

Yes I used that site command to move the JCL to JES and it is running fine..
But now my requirement is, once the job in this JES runs fine...another job in OPC(scheduler) needs to be triggered..

Simply, its no where related to FTP now...Job in JES should trigger job in OPC.

If your FTP job creates a dataset you could use ETT to trigger your OPC
job.

Ask your scheduling people for info.

yes FTP job creates a dataset and I am not much aware of ETT. How can we use dataset name in ETT?
