I am facing this question in an interview pl clarify it
1)u have received the junk error in more than 50,000 records or files then hw u solve this problem?
2) hw to display comp-3 item is it possible?
3) after coding cobol-db2 then wht is the procedure to load this pgm ?(not precompiler explanation)
4)If u get a new CR then wht will u do?(u dont have any cheklist for this CR u have to analyse )wht r the steps involved after getting the CR? |

Hi,
Yes it is possible. You can display the Comp-3 field as any other variable.

I m considering here junk error as some non wanted characters in your data file.
If the Junk Error is consistent in terms of length & position, the suggestable way would be to use SORT to get them filtered.

As per jaya said...It is possible...You have to move your COMP-3 Var to a normal one before getting it displayed.

Such type of question can be better answered from your organization, If you are working. As there are some predefined specific processes as per org. Such as, testing processes etc.
