Packed decimals in IMS database

I have field as type=p in the dbd and bytes as 10. What could be the equavelnt cobol pic clause for such a field. Conversly if I want to define a filed in the IMS DB for something equvalent to S9(8)v99 comp-3 then what could be the field definition?

calculate how much bytes would this vaarible take and put that in PCB in a way similar to

FIELD NAME=fieldname,BYTES=calculate,START=??,TYPE=P
