Every login , command excution, and job details will be logged as SMF log.
SMF log wil be stored in a dataset.
Correct me if I am wrong.
I want to know the command to know SMF database.
From that we will use smf unload utility to get many useful reports. |

Ask your System Support personnel. They'd know the names of the SMF datasets. |

SMF data set names tend to be customized for each site. Furthermore, the specific SMF records kept at your site controlled by system parameters set at IPL time. As Kevin said, you really need to talk to your site support group to get the details. |

If your system has an smf databse, it is not part of the standard smf processing. . . It may help someone help you if you explain what an SMF database is to you.
SMF data is written to very large sequential files which are processed to retrieve whatever info is needed. Some places extract data from the raw SMF files and store this in database tables for analysis/reporting. These are site-specific. |
