Inserting data in db2 table from a file

Hi ,

I have requirement that insert data from flat file to db2 table where in flat file their is na number of column suppose 10 filed column but i don;ta know what is the name of each field column and if suppose details of column are name rollnumber qualification idetity number and so on ,
so my requirement is insert data in db2 table columna in specific manner but in flat file it is not field align.

PLease refer the manual for LOad utility. Let us know if you find any problem.

Hi,

I have to insert data throu cobol program not jcl could you please proide me example

for ex :
Input file structure is File1:

Satish B.E M.B.A. Mainframe 12345678 34567688 789099 India
aparna B.E M.C.A Mainframe 12345689 34567698 789079 India

I want to write throu cobol program where File is my input i want insert this data in db2 table by cobol program but i do;t kno the column name specificvation in my input file

well, since you are obviously a novice coder and not a programmer,
you need to ask someone who knows something about computers
to give you a layout of the input file.
And remind him that you have no initiative, little or no logic ability and
don't really want to think about your tasks or do a little research.
